ROMANIA
This helmet is clearly modelled on the pre-WW2 Dutch M34. The edge of the shell is flatter, and the chinstrap is totally different, but the similarities are obvious.
This could be a later model of the M73, known as the M73-80. I have not seen the later version and the photographs I have are not clear enough to see if there is any significant difference.
In fact I'm not entirely sure there really is an M73-80 - Information please!

This stamping - on the outside of the shell - is a serial number (86-040) to the left of the carrying-slot, and another string of numbers to the right (unclear, could be 12011).

The neckflap is very similar (but
larger) to that used on the
pre WW2 Dutch helmets on which this
Romanian design is modelled.

The leather liner is fitted over a yellow-green coloured felt inner-piece that completely covers the crown of the helmet.
